The soil where these vineyards are located is made up with sandy sediments, gravel and on the bottom with clay. The soil is well drained but poor in organic materials, an ideal condition for our vine stocks, that together with the help of the wind, rain and sun grapes achieve the best aromas and delicious notes that distinguish our Tinta de Toro grapes.
The age of the plantations is of 15-30 years for the Rejadorada Roble, between 30-60 for the Novellum, up to 70 years for the Sango and between 80-103 for the Bravo.
For the control of the plagues, the vineyards are treated only with sulphur.
